A marked hiking route has been set out in cooperation with Nature Monuments, leading you from De Wije Werelt to the Mosselsche Zand.
The route marked by posts is a fun stroll of 2.5 km (45-60 minutes), parts of which will lead you through the Otterlo forest that's adjacent to the campsite, next you will cross the sand drift to walk back to De Wije Werelt via a winding road on the edge of the sand. The varied landscape you'll encounter on the edge of the sand drift is unique and a beauty to behold.
In addition to the large game in this area, there are also numerous other little known but rare inhabitants: the woodcock, the blind worm, the stag beetle, the sand lizard and the heather butterfly are some examples. On top of this, the expansive Mosselsche Zand is a beautiful, massive sandbox to play around in with the children.
Information about additional hiking and cycling routes can be collected at reception!
